26 Tonne Milk Silo Move
Moving this 500m3 milk silo from Christchurch to Edendale was no small feat. There were power lines to be negotiated, tight corners, and traffic galore to avoid.
This silo was 36 metres long, 6 metres wide, and 6 metres high, making cornering "interesting" on what proved to be a long journey.
The total distance travelled was approximately 600 kilometres, and the move took 2.5 full days to complete.
